Testing to internationally recognised standards
The anti-corrosion properties of NANOPROTECH have been tested by means of a so-called salt spray test. As the name suggests, this test is used to check the corrosion resistance of materials and surface coatings. In this test, steel test panels are exposed to salt fog for a period of 48 hours and then left to dry for 24 hours followed by a final salt fog exposure of 48 hours. As this test accelerates the corrosion process, the purpose of this test is to determine the effectiveness of protective coatings and finishes on materials and gain independent evidence of the performance of each coating being tested.
